The PokeyBull Foundation is committed to strengthening rural rugby and creating meaningful opportunities for young people across the Eastern Cape, with a particular focus on the Great Kei region.

Through strategic funding and community partnerships, the Foundation supports school and club rugby teams — helping provide players with the resources, development opportunities and platforms they need to grow both on and off the field.
As part of this commitment, the PokeyBull Foundation has joined Great Kei Rugby, an initiative founded by Ivan Deetlefs, as a sponsor of the 2027 Great Kei Schools rugby Tournament. The Foundation also provides financial support to Super League teams Komga United r.f.c and Rising Stars R.F.C throughout the rugby seasons.
Looking ahead, the Foundation plans to register its own 10's rugby team, PokeyBull Stars, to compete in the 2026 East London 10's Tournament—further expanding its role in the sport and creating new pathways for emerging talent.

By investing in rugby, the PokeyBull Foundation is investing in discipline, teamwork, leadership and the future of rural communities. We welcome partners, sponsors and investors who share our vision of building a stronger, more inclusive sporting landscape for the next generation.
